The SGLA Board has formed a Lakes Waterway Safety Committee. Their first task was to create an educational piece which will be available with the next Newsletter in early spring. The flier posts all sources of governing information from Boating Handbook, fishing regulations, township ordinances, Boater safety courses, and a map of our lakes showing shoreline set backs for boats and personal watercraft, as well as no wake and hazard areas. It also attempts to point out specific applications of the rules as they might apply to our circumstances. This piece will be posted on our Website, mailed to membership, AND available at the Gunlock Landing, along with more information. Next time at the landing take a peek at what's in the new literature holders.
